About Mahjong Solitaire

Mahjong Solitaire is a free tile-matching puzzle that runs in your browser on phone and desktop, with no download or sign-up. A turtle-shaped stack of 144 tiles waits on the table. Match pairs of identical free tiles to remove them. A tile is free when nothing lies on top of it and its left or right side is open. Clear every tile to win. If no moves remain, the game ends. Stuck? The hint button shows a possible match.

Click or tap two matching free tiles to remove them. Hint highlights a possible move.

Tips

  1. Work on the top layer and the long rows first. Tiles that unlock many others matter most.
  2. If three or four matching tiles are free, pick the pair that frees the most new tiles.
  3. Don't clear easy pairs on autopilot. Leaving a needed tile buried is how boards get stuck.
